Throughout the story we see how Dora's journey progresses. They have to count up to seven fior the Seven seas and then teach the Singing Bridge a song! Just before Treasure island though they encounter a problem as there is a waterfall. They have to turn the wheel to avoid going down it but the wheel is broken. Dora the Explorer is a very popular children's TV character as seen on Nick TV. She is, as you have probably realised, an intrepid little character who loves to go off exploring taking her trusted map and backpack with her. There are many books about Dora, but this one - Dora's Pirate Adventure - is a particular favourite with my daughters. The story is quite simple and starts with Dora and her friends pretending to be pirates. They go to put on their costumes but discover that some pirate piggies have stolen them.
