Dora the Explorer is a very popular children's TV character as seen on Nick TV. She is, as you have probably realised, an intrepid little character who loves to go off exploring taking her trusted map and backpack with her. There are many books about Dora, but this one - Dora's Pirate Adventure - is a particular favourite with my daughters. The story is quite simple and starts with Dora and her friends pretending to be pirates. They go to put on their costumes but discover that some pirate piggies have stolen them.
