As a huge fan of Robin Hobb I was waiting with a great deal of anticipation for this book to finally be released. After her last three books, which were something totally new to me in fantasy and perhaps not as good, this was a welcome return to a world which was already familier to me. Briefly, the story picks up where the Liveship Trader books left off as we witness the beginnings of a new generation of dragons as young hatchlings begin to emerge on the banks of the Rain Wild river.
