Using her Clerical powers she creates light to find that the spell she cast at the end of the last book has blinded Caramon. It appears as though Raistlin is dead but Caramon reassures her that he is just exhausted from the spell. I bought this book four years ago from a charity shop in my home town. It was the first book i had ever bought based on the dungeons and dragons role playing game. I bought it for reading material for the holiday i was taking that year, thinking it would take a week to read. I had finished it by the time i had got off the plane. since reading this book, the dungeons and dragons fantasy genera has become my favorite. The characters that Weis and Hickman have created are easy to identify with and you really feel for the heroes.
