Dragons of Spring Dawning brings together the story of Tanis, Goldmoon and the rest in the chronicles trilogy. The book brings all the stories together as the different character who at the start of the trilogy set off together have by this book become disparate. Tanis the leader is trying to overcome his revulsion at having a relationship with an old flame who has become leader of a band of enemy dragons, this act alienates the other group members. We then meet the mysterious berem, a strange ship hand with a huge green gem embedded in his chest, Berem guides them against there wishes into a whirlpool into the realm of the water elves.
