a great read i couldn't put it down

Good plot, entertaining read A bit old-fashioned

Gripping, thrilling, interesting, surprisingly emotional The first part of the book drags, very one-sided and selective in the story it tells

Lots of murders (and long words) to puzzle over. Dalziel wears a kilt and goes dancing.
