Duckie Wakes Up is a board book with a difference. For every left hand side part to the story, there is a right side jigsaw taking up almost the complete page (apart from an edging which is required to hold the jigsaw in position). The jigsaws are only made up of two pieces, so are ideal as an early introduction to the concept of jigsaws. The story tell us how Duckie wakes up and then goes to wake all of her friends. Each 'friend' is presented on the right hand side as a two piece jigsaw. The picture is accompanied by the animal sound each friend would make, e.g a ginger cat has "miaow miaow" printed above it.
