I like to, that the characters that they incorporate are so easily recognised from fairytale and nursery rhyme, so children recognise the characters that they're looking for. Turn the ...

But that's to be expected from this fairly well known author of childrens books, Allan Ahlberg and Janet Ahlberg. Husband and wife, meeting at the same course Sunderland to train as teachers, both went on to be a brilliant authors for childrens books. Allan tended to the writing as well as being a full time teacher and Janet turning her back on teaching to be a graphic designer illustrated. There has been no looking back for the Ahlberg's since there first book " The old joke book" was published by Penguin back in 1978 and I can honestly say I'm not ...
