Advantages: Great crime thriller with unexpected twists

Disadvantages: A Harry Bosch background helps you connect more but not essential

I bought this book from my book club as it was on offer the author looked familiar and it was in the thriller section. To my relief it was part of the Harry Bosch series which I had read a couple of years ago and had really enjoyed. I knew from then on it was a winner.

Harry Bosch is a LAPD cop who has just come out of retirement and is working on the Open Unsolved Unit. He just cant stop thinking about a case in 1993 that he never closed. Marie Gesto went missing in 1993 and was presumably murdered however no body or culprit was found just her clothes folded up neatly left in an abonded car in a garage.

It is an obsession with Harry and he takes his work home with him - he never forgets.

Back to present day and Harry is in luck when another case of Reynard Waits who has been caught with dismembered women in his car and who is now confessing to the murder of Marie Gesto.

But is all as it seems..

This book is a great crime thriller with twists and turns to 'keep you on your toes' as you never know what is going to happen next.

I would recommend this book to anyone but especially so if you like this genre of book, in fact I think the Bosch series is great in general.

Great for Harry Bosch virgins and fans alike!

I bought this in Hardback which retails at £17.99 but can be found cheaper(I got it for 99p from my book club). Hardback contains 384 pages
