The first time that I read this book, I was really not at all impressed with it. However, I returned to this one after having read the last book and I was surprised to see that I really enjoyed my reading experience this time. It would still say that in order to genuinely enjoy the plot of Eclipse, one has to finish the reading of the last book- I believe that this enhances the strong feelings that were being conveyed to the reader. I think that Eclipse is the most important book to the series, in terms of how it contributes to the story as a whole. If there were some major plot development in New Moon, Eclipse takes these developments a step further. I ... Read the complete review

Eclipse is the third book in the Stephanie Meyer penned series, of which I found the first - 'Twilight', to be excellent and the second 'New Moon' to be disappointing. The third begins with Bella Swan and her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen, readjusting to life and being back together in the small town of Forks following the events of the previous book. However, in the background there is a growing awareness of a large number of strange disappearances and deaths in Seattle which bear all the hallmarks of involving vampires. Jacob Black, Bella's werewolf friend who was heavily featured in the last book, still has romantic designs on her and the animosity ... Read the complete review

Eclipse is the third ina series of books written by Stephenie Meyer, aimed primarily at teenage girls, but enjoyable by anyone, really. At this point, I'd like to point out that, in order to properly review Eclipse, it is important to touch on events that have happened in the previous two books, Twilight and New Moon. As such, this review may reveal things about these two books that could spoil them if you have not previously read them. However, I will not be spoiling Eclipse for you. It is told in the narrative format by Bella Swan, who arrives in the sleepy and dreary town of Forks, Washington, at the age of 16. Each of the books takes an academic school ... *SPOILERS CONTAINED* I feel like I'm repeating myself if I go into the whole background story behind the Twilight saga but alas it is required. The series has sold millions around the world and is regarded with the same fan fueled frenzy as the Harry Potter series was a few years back. The books come in a set of 4 written by the very talented Stephenie Meyer with 'Eclipse' being the 3rd volume of the series. The books revolve around the character of Bella Swann with the stories told from her perspective. Upon moving to the gloomy town of Forks to live with her father she falls in love with the 'vegetarian' vampire Edward Cullen and finds herself ... Read the complete review

Eclipse is the third book in the Twilight saga preceded by "Twilight" and "New Moon". Written by Stephanie Meyer and released in 2007. It continues the tale of Bella Swan, an 18 year old Girl in Forks, Washington State who is completely and irrecoverably in love with Edward Cullen, a 17 year old vampire. Continuing where New Moon left off this book sees Bella and Edwards's relationship develop more, as well as the relationship between Bella and Jacob, her best friend who hides a secret that he is a werewolf. I had my reservations about buying this book, I had become a little bit disillusioned with the saga, whilst I enjoyed the stories I was ... Read the complete review
