Advantages: Everything! It's great
Disadvantages: None
Eclipse is the third book in the twilight saga by the international bestselling author Stephenie Meyer.
I loved the first two books in the series so much that I ordered the full set from Amazon, I was really looking forward to reading Eclipse and it certainly did not disappoint.
The story continues on from the previous novel - New Moon. The Cullens are back in Forke and Bella & Edward are back together and happy! But a cloud looms over them as their graduation approaches, Bella must make a choice and face the ultimatum issued by the Volturi, the ruling council of the vampires. As the time grows closer another threat looms as a group of newborn vampires ravage the city of Seattle, the Cullens know they must act, however the danger becomes more apparent as Alice Cullen's visions begin to reveal the extent of the threat.
A brain wave by Bella connects the vampires with a break in at her house and as the threat grows, the vampires must forge an uneasy truce with the werewolves to protect themselves, Bella and the human population.
As I have said, this book does not disappoint, I can't put into words how completely enthralling and compelling this book is, you don't want to put it down, you want to read it all in one go and yet you don't want it to end. It is written so well that you find yourself swept up into the book!
Although it seems like a fairly cheesy teenage novel, it is so much more than that, it is incredibly easy to read and yet very very intense, the emotions of Edward and Bella's relationship mean that this is something far more than just a teen movie!
I would definitely recommend this book, but you really do need to start at the beginning of the saga
Summary: Read this!
