The problem with electronic engineering is that it is absolutely full of stuff that you need a referance text for. And quite annoyingly the books you end up buying end up covering roughly the same material, perhaps with a slight emphasis on the thing that you bought the book for. The unwary student could very easily end up buying a load of textbooks that cover the same stuff over and over again... Now the usual solution is to buy the accepted electronic engineers bible, "The Art of Electronics" (look for review of that title). This is a must book for all would be Electronics Engineers out there. This great book contains all the basic knowledge that an Electronics Engineer would need and it is a useful book not only to working engineers but also to students and also researchers. There are a lot of chapters in this book and it is organised into several sections. Most of the information in this book is on the basics of electronics, for example, circuit theory, logic gates, amplifiers, transistors and a little information on computers.
