      not to my taste

i am a huge fan of Agatha Christie and have read a huge number of her books but i have to say i was quite disapointed by Elephants can remember. i personally found the storyline quite dull and struggled to get all the way through. i also found the book slow moving and even when it did get going predictable and tedious.

the story is set around mystery writer Ariadine Oliver and follows the tale of a real crime that happened in her past: an apparent tale of the double suicide of two of her friends twleve years earlier. with the help of her dear friend Poirot the answer is yet to be found- within the revaltions of a swiss school teacher, a strange doctor's diagnosis and a terrifying tale from one old woman...but for the two crime fighters the most startling discovery is yet to come, and the truth through the memory of others, but poirot must move quickly before the crime repeats itself.

nevertheless all of christies's work is very good, this one just wasn't to my taste.

      thank you and please rate.

The new-look series of Hercule Poirot books for the 21st century. Hercule Poirot stood on the cliff-top. Here, many years earlier, there had been a tragic accident. This was followed by the grisly discovery of two more bodies -- a husband and wife -- shot dead. But who had killed whom? Was it a suicide pact? A crime of passion? Or cold-blooded murder? Poirot delves back into the past and discovers that 'old sin leave long shadows'.
