i am a huge fan of Agatha Christie and have read a huge number of her books but i have to say i was quite disapointed by Elephants can remember. i personally found the storyline quite dull and struggled to get all the way through. i also found the book slow moving and even when it did get going predictable and tedious. the story is set around mystery writer Ariadine Oliver and follows the tale of a real crime that happened in her past: an apparent tale of the double suicide of two of her friends twleve years earlier. with the help of her dear friend Poirot the answer is yet to be found- within the revaltions of a swiss school teacher, a strange doctor's ... Main idea is interesting, although this is let down in execution. 
Poorly plotted & developed. Contrived motive & ending. Funny, light and interesting. Appears to be more of a comaprison with other works than a eork in its own right at times. A great page turner that will keep you reading on..! Not the most difficult of mysteries to solve for any avid Christie fan! A great cast of characters, in-depth opening and fast-paced finale!
