Elmer's Friends by David McKee is a lovely little book. It is about a very colourful elephant named Elmer and during the course of the book, we meet all of his very different animal friends. It is a very positive book as it goes through all of Elmers friends pointing out the differences, but in a good way. For example 'Hello Lion. You have the loudest roar. Hello Owl. Elmer's wisest friend'. With a bit of imagination, you can really make this book fun for your toddler. My daughter loves it when we make all the different animal noises as we go.
