Advantages: Somehow different to Terry Pratchett's other Discworld books, but just as funny.

Disadvantages: Disadvantages? What are they, then?

After yet again saving the world by accident in "Sourcery", Rincewind was trapped in the Dungeon Dimensions. In this book, a boy called Eric (the Discworld's only demonology hacker) tries to summon up a demon and ends up with Rincewind instead.

Unfortunately for him, Rincewind is the most useless wizard there is, not a demon. Plus a chest with legs called the Luggage seems to follow him around everywhere. However, since Rincewind came through the right 'door' so to speak, he's able to grant Eric his three wishes. He wants to rule all the kingdoms, meet the most beautiful woman in the world and live forever.

With a click of his fingers, Rincewind can grant Eric his three wishes. So he does. But whatever power is granting these wishes (because it sure ain't Rincewind) takes them the wrong way and Rincewind and Eric end up as potential sacrifices and go back in time twice.

Finally they end up in 'Demon City' running for their lives. Possibly not a good thing to wish for...
