This is an excellent book for a first year medic, although relatively simple it provides a good basis of anatomy usefully combined with the physiology of each system. It therefore is particularly useful for those studying a systems based course. The text is clear and well written and the diagrams are extremely clear and self-explanatory. The book comes with a CD ROM and subscription to the website, both of which are as clear and as easy to use as the website. Although this book lack some detail required by many courses it provides an excellent transition from A level to Degree level anatomy and physiology, a must for any "struggling first year medic". ... This author has produced a number of books and study aids based around the same idea - I find the full version more useful and that is what I have rated.......... The depth and level of this book has alIowed me to use this book continuously throughout my biology GCSE's , A-levels and the first 2 years of medical school and I have no doubt that it will continue to be a good resource for a while to come. I am using the 2nd edition but the 5th edition was released last year which contains a CD-rom with quizzes and tutorials on it (I borrowed it from the library - well worth it for revision but not much else) As a medical student I seem to ...
