A User Friendly guide to World Domination.

First came "Java in a nutshell", then "web design in a nutshell" -
now O'Reilly have outdone themselves, with "Evil Geniuses in a
nutshell". To any User Friendly fan, this is a must.

For the people out there that haven't experienced User Friendly,
it's ... well, it's like Dilbert, but less fluffy. If you've
ever worked in the IT industry, you will relate to the characters
- AJ, the designer; Pitr the sysadmin; Greg and Miranda the
tech support (eek, a female tech support bod!); Stef the slimey
sales rep. Plus the cute little dustball (pictured on the front
cover) and Erwin the AI entity. It's frightening how close to
the truth it is. But also reassuring to know that at least you're
obviously not the only people in the world that have to put up with
the things you have to put up with.

It's got it all - from Linux distribution wars to sushi to Quake
deathmatches at 3am. And they're right - the Euro symbol _really
is_ just a Quake symbol on it's side!

If you love Microsoft or AOL, this book probably isn't for you -
you might recognise yourself as the 'victim' of one or two of the
jokes. But then, I think the point is meant to be that if you're
an AOL user, you wouldn't realise. :-)

But if you've ever been a tech support bod and you haven't yet
been introduced to User Friendly, I strongly recommend this book
- and where have you been until now??

(Cover price is $12.95 - but picked it up from alphabetstreet for
under 7 pound)

Umm, possibly. Maybe. I can't keep up with these new-fangled
exchange rate things. *cough*

You say the cover price is $12.95 but you got it for just under £7.00 ... um, isn't that what it should be what with exchance rates and all that?
