City Woman - Patricia Scanlan
by Clayeree - written on 02/09/09 (Useful, 11 readings)
Rating:
There is nothing good whatsoever about his book. It's characters are incredibly stupid and extremely irritating and their conversations seemed fake and unbelievable. There is no real story to the book and as soon as I realised this I found it hard to finish reading it as there seemed to be no point in doing so. The story revolves around three women who at the start of the book are unhappy with either their love life, their career, or both. Obviously by the end of the book all their problems are solved and they live happily ever after. on until she has brought them both right down and will not forget the double betrayal they caused. Alexandra Johnston is dedicated to her work and really thrives on her career. She plays Chris as the fool he really is and leaves Chris out on his ear when she gets what she wants from her work. This is a really great book that is a brilliant easy read with romance, humour and friendships. As with all Patricia Scanlan books I ve read its brilliant and would recommend to ...

This number-one best seller from Patricia Scanlan is definitely one to warm the cockles and one that s very much for the ladies. A book about the good and bad times of an Irish Family! The story is centered around Shauna who is married to Greg Cassidy and they have a beautiful daughter called Chole, then you are introduced to Shauna s family and her in-laws and shown how their family relationships don t always run smoothly. Firstly there is Shauna s older sister and best friend Carrie with her doting husband Dan and their wonderful children Davey, Olivia and further on in the story little Hannah who to Shauna are exactly how a family should be. Loving, kind and most ...
