I was quite disappointed with 'Family Law' by Herring. Despite being written by one of the best academics in the country, this textbook is not as versatile as readers may have hoped. This textbook simply is not suitable for some courses. My review of the textbook is solely based upon the demands of my course (at a modest Russell Group University). It is possible that this textbook may meet your needs better, depending upon which areas of family law are taught, and in what depth. The Family Law book by Johnathan Herring was the recommended text book on the law degree course for the Family Law module that I was studying, was I glas that I bought it, as it is one of the easiest book to read that you will ever purchase, although it is not exactly cheap. The book covers most areas of Family Law, as it covers in great the areas of marriage and divorce, matters relating to finance during divorce such as money but also property, domestic violence, child custody and matters relating to finance for children, along with public matter for children such as taking a child into care and suprisingly, not what many would associate with Family law is ...
