Written by the famous magizoologist (a zoologist specializing in magical creatures) Newt Scamander, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them was published in 2001 (together with Quidditch Through the Ages) with the aim of raising funds for UK Charity Comic Relief. It has been calculated that approximately $30 million have been raised from the ... Read the complete review

Well with all my school work at the moment, it is nice to have a little look at what school work is like for Witches And Wizards. Us poor muggles have to go through the same exams as as the Hogwarts students (Even if they are in different subjects!) So in first year, the students study 'Care Of Magical Creatures' in which the students have to ... Read the complete review

Another wizardaecious book from the quick-quill of that wonderful witch Rowling Ravenclaw and Sorceror Scamander. Ron and Hermione delight in doodling all over Harry's text book, but his only retaliation comes under Rons grafitti-art for =CHUDLEY CANNONS= when he replies "...write a decent team in my book for a change ... To Muggles (Humans without magical powers) who have not read Harry Potter books, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them will probably not make very much sense. To those, like myself, who love Harry Potter, reading the book will fill in little gaps missed out by the main books. J.K.Rowling wrote the Harry Potter series, a story about a ... Now I suppose the Dooyoo people might want to point out that according to the cover this book is in fact by one Newt Seamander and not JK Rowling at all, but even I think you can take this whole Harry Potter thing a bit too far. Essentially, this is Rowling's contribution to Comic Relief and it's only 42 pages long so hardly qualifies as a ... Read the complete review

Do you know the difference between an acromantula and a Horklump? No? Well, you'd better rush out and buy a copy of 'Fantastical Beasts and Where to find then' by that world-renowned expert Newt Scamander. This book, as every Harry Potter who is worth their salt knows, is one of the set books required to be read by all ... Read the complete review

Although not actually the reurn of Harry Potter and friends, this (along with Quiditch through the ages) is a valuble addition for any Harry Potter fans. Unfortuatly this is not the better of the two comic relief books, it is still worth a read to improve your knowledge of the beasts in J.K. Rowlings books (and i am sure it will become a valuble ... Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus. Thus greets us mere muggles Aldus Dumbledore in the preface to this special for-charity edition of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" by Newt Scamander, a set text with wizards the world over. As Dumbledore states, it has never happened before that books, or indeed any ... Read the complete review

Now some of the regular readers of my writing will now know that I am a bit of a wizard. Now to tell you more, I am a very poor Wizard. In fact my Dooyoo name KingHerrod is my actual wizard name. Now to you muggles the prefix King, means noble, royal and is generally a compliment in your society. However in the wizard world people with King in ... Read the complete review
