It's rare that I read a single book from cover to cover. Normally I'm easily distracted and have about five books on the go at once. It is a rare book that grabs my attention so I'm absorbed by every word on every single page. "Fantastic" is such a book. It's hard to imagine a more fairytale, rags-to-riches story. A scrawny Austrian boy, growing up in provincial post-war Austria in the shadow of a disciplinarian father, idolises bodybuilding movie stars like Reg Park and Steve Reeves.
