Disadvantages: none really

This is, perhaps, one of the best books I've read......

I could say that but I'd be lying. This undoubtedly is a very good book, but it doesn'y compare with the likes of Tolkien, Asimov etc. it won't until Pratchett dies that is.

It's a very funny book - some great subtlety in some of the humour contrasted with complete obviousness (sorry that probably isn't a word) of other parts makes this hugely effective.

This was the first Pratchett book I had read, I was impressed and bought more. They are enjoyable and capture the readers imagination well. They are expertly written and the eccentric little footnotes are highly amusing. I will definately read more Pratchett and I would urge anyone to try some (although I believe that a lot of the humour is aimed at teens and 20's age).
