Fern Britton is a woman who always makes me smile when she and Philip are on This Morning so when her Biography came out I knew it would be one to read and finally find out more about her. She starts the book way back when she was a small girl and tells us all about her family. She was born in 1957 and it was at the time when her father, Tony Britton was making a name for himself. She had an older sister, 8 years her elder called Cherry. Not long after her she was born her mother and father decided they would separate so Fern grew up without him around. She does not ever remember him being around but she does have one photo which shows them both together. ... Read the complete review

From the age of seven, I have had a growing ambition to become a TV Presenter. It's something that has been a part of my life for so long now, that it seems only natural. So it goes without saying that I idolise a fair few TV Presenters themselves! I have a select few of these idols which mean the most to me, and one of them is Fern Britton. Fern Britton is a British TV Presenter, born in 1957. She presents various shows from time to time, including the British Soap Awards, and All-Star Mr and Mrs. Though she is best known for co-presenting This Morning, which she has been doing so since 1999, alongside Phil Schofield. This is as we know her now, but what was ... Read the complete review

For my birthday recently I received a copy of Fern Britton's autobiography 'Fern: My Story'. I have obviously heard of Fern Britton and was aware that her Father is Tony Britton. I have seen Fern on many TV shows including Ready Steady Cook and This Morning and have heard quite a lot about her personal life through the media. I was quite keen to read the book as I have always felt that Fern seemed like a lovely woman who was open and genuine and I was intrigued by some of the things I had heard about her. The book is a typical autobiography and starts with memories from the presenters early childhood. The book covers a lot of Ferns ... Read the complete review

I have just finished reading "Fern: My Story" by the television presenter Fern Britton. I only bought the book around three days ago, so this gives you a clue which way this review is going to go.... It was first released last year, but I waited for the cheaper softback edition. The book cost me £3.96 from Asda, and is generally available all over the place. A timely read, because this week is Fern's last week presenting "This Morning", a relief for some people I imagine, but not me: I admit, she is my favourite TV presenter. This book, like the lady herself, comes across as warm and open. Told in the first person, ... Read the complete review
