Heiresses - Lulu Taylor:
... m new to Lulu Taylor and haven t previously read any of her books before. I liked the blurb on the back though and decided to give it a go. *The Plot* The Trevellyan girls have long been used to a life of luxury thanks to their family s perfume empire. When their mother dies, her will comes as something of a shock to all three of them. She has left them the family business, but it comes with one specific condition... Pobby and Dingan - Ben Rice ... was reluctant to review Pobby and Dingan as I didn t think I could write anything nearly good enough to describe the brilliance of the book. But as it seems relatively unknown, I thought I would give it a go and maybe encourage a few more people to read it. Pobby and Dingan is a short story written by British author Ben Rice. It s set in a small Australian town, Lightning Ridge and follows the Williamson family; mum, dad, son Ashton, and daughter Kellyanne. Dad, Rex (along with most of the town s residents) gets by, by mining for opal - a precious gemstone. It s a fairly fruitless trade but Rex swears that some day he ll make millions. Pobby and Dingan complete the... Read the full review: An absolutely perfect short story by Tail_Feather |

World War Z - Max Brooks ... on Max Brooks s hugely successful "The Zombie Survival Guide", this journalistic novel charts the start of the zombie plague, its spread throughout the world, and humanity s fight back, all through the eyes of people who experienced these things first hand and lived to tell the tale. 10 years after the zombie war began, Brooks has written a report for the United Nations. Most of the individual s stories have been cut out of the final report, and Brooks wants to give these people a chance to voice their experiences of their trials and tribulations. In this book, Brooks the author (as opposed to Brooks the journalist) examines ideas such as American isolati... Read the full review: A thoroughly gripping read. by sa_O33 |

The Timewaster Diaries: A Year in the Life of Robin Cooper - Robin Cooper ... is a review of the Timewaster Diaries by Robin Cooper. I picked this up in a charity shop for 50p so was prepared for it to be a not very good read but I am pleased to report I was wrong. Lured in by the reviews that claimed Cooper is Adrian Mole in disguise, I thought I d give it a go. The diary begins in the New Year with Robin setting his new year s resolutions, which he revisits throughout the book. Although he s an annoying nerdy character, you can t help but like him. He is unemployed at the start of his diary due to writing too many personal letters in work s time. (ref Cooper s earlier books) but he doesn t seem to bothered by this. Urged on by his wife R...
