I honestly don't know any woman that hasn't read this book. Apart from my best friend who refuses! But to be honest, I don't blame her!
I'm all up for the sex scenes, and the kinky-ness of this book, seriously that is not the part that bothers me. But I just find it really, really boring! The story line is really not interesting, I mean yeah it's not every day a rich billionaire asks you to sign a contract into BDSM but still it's not exactly a murder investigation or car chase or explosions. Its not even mysterious, it's very plain and simple for everyone to see!
James attempts to make it mysterious by giving us little hints into Grey's troubled past but even so, I've read much more horrific books! And the hints she does give aren't very mysterious, we all know what's happened!
I felt the writing could have been a bit more complex, it was very basic writing, easy to read I suppose and the sex scenes were written with no precaution, she just threw it all out there. It is quite vulgar but hey, we all love a good sex scene.
I'm not sure I'm very mixed feelings about this book, one minute I could really sink myself into it and other times I was REALLY BORED. I would say if your up for a quick easy read, with no real deep story line this is your kind of book, but if you prefer deep and meaningful, I wouldn't even bother.
DEFINITELY 50 SHADES!
