 ... easy read, but a fun one. However, I was left wanting more. Either he hasn't had such an interesting life or career as the afore-mentioned three actresses, or he was too lazy to write any more. Whatever, it does not attempt to be a great literary work, but is entertaining. As could be ascertained from the autobiography's title, those three things form an integral part of Frazer Hines' life story - his film career, his years as Joe Sugden in Emmerdale Farm and his passion for his horses. When compared to the recent autobiographies from the likes of Barbara Windsor, June Whitfield and Wendy Richard, you might be expecting a similarly sized book from Frazer Hines, but you'd be disappointed. Films, Farms & Fillies is quite a small, unimpressive, lightweight paperback. The book was published by Boxtree in 1996 and at the time, the joke going round was that an *unsigned* copy was worth more than a signed one! Frazer definitely tried to increase sales of his autobiography by hitting the convention circuit big-time and touring bookshops with pen in hand.
