Vision in White - Nora Roberts

Premium Review Nora's vision failed her somewhat on this one (463 words)
by ladybracknell - written on 01/08/09 (Very useful, 27 readings)
Rating:

But it didn t take many pages for me to realise that the book was a little disappointing to say the least. Vision in White is the first in Nora Roberts new series, known collectively as The Bride Quartet, set around a wedding planning business which is run by four friends who spent much of their time in childhood playing at weddings. Now, all grown up, one of them is a photographer, one a cook, one a florist and one a brilliant administrator who owns a fabulous house. How convenient! Synopsis: Mackenzie (Mac) Elliott discovered in childhood that she could capture moments of happiness using a camera, given to her by her absent and uncaring father. She is the ...

Charmed - Nora Roberts

Premium Review Charming (316 words)
by jenmck - written on 21/04/09 (Very useful, 15 readings)
Rating:

Written in the early 1990 s for Mills and Boon, this is one of Nora s earlier works that has just been reprinted. It forms part of a quartet of books called The Donovan Legacy. This is part 3 and follows Anastasia Donovan and Boone Sawyer, but can still be read as a standalone novel. (I have not read parts 1 and 2). Ana, as she is known, is a witch from a long line of magical people hailing from Ireland, but now living in Monterey California, close to her cousins Morgana and Sebastian, both also witches with different gifts. Ana s gift is empathy and healing, and by linking with people she feels their pain and helps to cure them. She is also a qualified herbalist and ...
