The shapeshifter series focuses on a boy who can shapeshift. You follow the main character from when he first finds out about his ability and you see how his life changes, leading to many different situations.
If you've ever wondered what it's like to be a fox wonder no more. This book describes exactly what it is like. Along with shapeshifting, the book covers other abilities when you meet new characters and you begin to see how useful each ability is as the story continues.
While you get to know other characters and learn a bit about them the book doesn't go into great depths. I think for certain characters and their relationships it needed a bit more detail. However, the story flows well and having that depth would probably ruin the more dramatic parts of the story.
This story would probably work just as well as a single book, but it is in fact the first in a series. After reading the first I kind of wondered what could possibly happen in the rest of the series, but the writer certainly had plenty of ideas.
I'm always looking out for stories that cover different supernatural things or look at them from a different point of view and this book is one of them stories. This book has an original storyline and some interesting twists and is worth reading. Once you've read this you'll want to keep following the fox as his story continues.
