Fireman Sam is a popular children's television character. He has been revamped in the last few years but I am a fan of the earlier episodes [which is lucky as I have had to endure many, many hours of them over the years!]. This story is from one of the earlier episodes. Fireman Sam is a firefighter in the small, but very accident-prone, village of Pontypandy in Wales. In this story Sam's niece and nephew [Sarah and James] are racing on their bikes when some tyres fall off of Jupiter, the fire engine, as Elvis Cridlington [another fireman] drives it past them.
