Disadvantages: The book has to end sometime

This was the first John Grisham novel i read and i have been hooked on his writing ever since. Mitchell McDeere is the newly qualified lawyer who graduates third in his class. Amongst all the job offers that pour in Mitch takes one from a small highly thought of law firm. The deal on offer includes almost double the salary, a BMW and a low interest mortgage. Along with his new wife he thinks he has it made. Thats before he discovers the firm is built on the work they do for the mob.
Grisham has built a great story around the basics of a young would be lawyer joining his first firm. The book quickly takes the reader fromm a young couple full of hope to a desperate couple trying to save their lives as well as remain free from the authorities.
the sequence of events the book takes is both intelligent and engrossing. Grisham has used his in depth knowledge of the legal system to good affect. The story move at a frightening pace and the intelligence of the main character shows through. This all due to Grishams unique writing style.
This is one of the few books i can say that i have read more than once. In fact it was so good, that as soon as i finished it, i read again to make sure i had not missed anything the first time.
Once the firm gets its hooks into you there is no shaking it free untill you turn the last page.

Summary: A book that makes you sit up and take notice
