Advantages: funny for younger children
Disadvantages: not so great for older generation
I can't say it is the most amazing art book in the world but I can say that if you think about Ricky Gervais' funny Yorkshire's farmer accent it becomes very funny.
The book consists of these animals , or flanimals, Gervais has conjured up in his imagination that all seem to have major genetic fault which cause them to very usually either die young or have an extremely pointless life.
There is a brilliant funny carton picture of all of the Flanimals and a nice description at the bottom to inform of the point (or pointless) of their existence.
I bought the book for a friend and had a good look through it before I bought it. I do not find it is anything particularly amazing but it is a bit of a laugh. It would have been better to have bought it for a young child because you can read then the little description and make them laugh.
The flanimals are all very clever and some are really simple lick a little creature witch needs to swallow its hands to walk but consistently cannot catch and eat anything!
It is a lovely little short book to have a quick flick through but nothing special just a bit of fun really and I would not buy it again. However, ins aying that if you have a younger child or something it is quite good from them as it is cartoony and funny.
Summary: it is a clever little childrens book, no more :)
