After the huge success that was “Have a Nice Day”, Mick Foley’s biography of his time wrestling as Mankind and other characters, it was almost inevitable that there would be another part. Especially as his first book was supposed to end with his wrestling career and, as it turned out, his career within World Wrestling Entertainment didn’t end at that point. Mick Foley also has something he wants, or maybe even needs, to say. About many things, mostly related to wrestling. He feels very strongly about the stupidity of the backyard wrestling craze in the US and the (as he sees it) unfair treatment handed out to World Wrestling Entertainment by the Parents ... The second proper novel from former WWF Wrestling star Mick Foley (his children's Christmas story really doesn't count, does it?) is less an autobiography and more a rant on the current social and political problems of America. It does, however, cover the time between "Have a Nice Day" and the time of writing, as well as looking back to other stories there just wasn't time or space to add to the original novel. As a book it hangs together rather loosely through the common thread of his rather gross humour. I've never read the "Day in a life" columns common in Sunday paper magazines, but I imagine this reads as a rather extended ... Read the complete review

Wrestling legend Mick Foley writes his second autiobiography FOLEY IS GOOD which continues where the first one left off. Foley explains the effect the Beyond the Mat documentary had on his life and family after they witnessed the suffering he took from hard shots. He talks about backyard wrestling and the effect that is having on wrestling companies and how he was made to look stupid while doing an interview about this subject. Foley talks about how he celebrated his title win that lasted one day. This is the funniest segment of the book as he explains that he knew it would only be a day he had it for. His honesty in saying that wrestling is ... Read the complete review

For anyone starting off wanting a comparison to have a nice day, its simple. Some people will have a nice day because it has more pages, wrestling, foul language and a lot more blood. Some people like this one because it has less pages, wrestling, foul language and blood. However whether you are a foley fan, a wrestling fan or just a normal reader you should still think about picking up a copy and heres why. The book starts off exactly where the last one left off. January 1999, I Quit match with the Rock for the World Wrestling Federation championship. For those just finishing off the last book, this is ... Read the complete review

To those of you who don't know Mick Foley I will do a quick cover of his background. This is not from an official source just pieced together from my own memory so it may miss some details but you will get the picture. Foley has always wanted to be a WWF wrestler; this was a dream that made him travel the length of America to watch Wrestlemania, the WWF's showcase event. Of course he lied to his parents and was rumbled when he was caught on live TV! This didn't diminish his dreams and he was often attempting crazy moves in his back garden including a famous jump off his roof to land in the ring. His antics were to lead to him being awarded a contract ... Read the complete review
