I used to love football. After all, I once lived in a country where liking football was, believe it or not, regarded as offensively intellectual, so liking it put me where I liked to be: in a smug minority. Obviously, I’ve had to re-evaluate my affiliation to the sport over the past decade or so. Football has become so bloody popular. Spearheaded by Man United.
