I’m writing this after just returning from Hereford and seeing my team knocked out of the first round proper of the FA Cup, by a not particularly good Conference side. What is more, it was televised on BBC. Still being a football supporter isn’t about sitting in front of the box – its about following your team and sharing the highs and lows with the other true fans. We were awful. Away trips aren’t quite so much fun when you lose. However, you travel and arrive with optimism and the book I’m going to tell you about will certainly make the trip easier even if it doesn’t guarantee a successful outcome on the pitch. ...
