Advantages: Exciting, gripping, a very good read

Disadvantages: That it is plugged mainly for kids

This is a great read for any young teen. I can remember the days of Enid Blyton and the famous five going off on their adventures and they were great (and still are in their own way), but this is so much more.

Truely a kids adventure of its time, it draws on some elements of fact interspersed with the fiction, which makes for a gripping tale.

The basic premise is that four kids go off on a day trip together in a boat (the 5th child comes later) and come accross an island that doesn't show on their map. As any inquisitive child would be, they are intrigued and go to explore this secret island, unbeknown that they are heading into danger, as the island is contaminated with Anthrax.

Their boat is destroyed by someone in a helicoptor and they are left stranded and fighting for survival as they begn to fall ill. The race is on to escape the island and return to safety.

A thrilling and gripping read suitable for pre teen to adult readers alike.

Summary: A book that can be enjoyed by all ages.
