I bouught this book of a plane journey to Aus - and all i can say is buy the time i reached Oz i had finished reading it - i just couldnt put it down! Its strange because i most def wouldnt call myself a Jade fan but i am intreged by her life and rise to fame. What is obvious in the book is the lack of opportunity she had as a child - although not an excuse, it does prehaps explain why she was slightly "simple" some of the time. I was given this book by a colleague at work to read. Although I was not a particular 'fan' of Jade, I was saddened to hear that she had lost her life to cancer, and as a close family member of mine is currently suffering from Bowel and stomach cancer, I thought I also may learn a little of what I might expect to happen in the future. The book is a very honest and frank version of events of what happened to Jade in the last year of her life and her battle against cancer. When my daughter and I challenged one another to read a pile of each other's books I was certainly not expecting this one. We both have very different reading preferences you see and the aim of the challenge was to widen our choice of books, she knows I hate this kind of book so I believe she deliberately included it in her pile in an attempt to convert me and soften my heart towards misery lit books.
