Although Hari Seldon has the creator of Psychohistory is the pivotal figure of the original trilogy he doesn’t feature very much directly. Asimov tells us little of Seldon’s life or how he came to create this new science. For fans this has always been a tantalising mystery and most thought that with the death of Asimov it was to remain so. THE SECOND TRILOGY ‘Foundation’s Fear’...more

gripping, scary scaryviolence

Sci-Fi & Fantasy - Bradley, Marion Zimmer

fantastic plot, high octane, non stop

Straightforward space opera tale quirkily executed, interesting written format allows a large cast of characters to be defined purposefully, reasonably well-realised, if rather unconvincing, galactic civilisation. Lack of any real ideas at the heart of the bookover-reliance on violence to further the story (although, of course, this is a book about a war!)barely above average pulp science fiction.

Loveable, Memorable. None.
