By no means did we make use of the information in all of the sections, but the book was well laid out and we were able to read up more about the Negev Desert before we visited it, by looking at that particular section. One of the books that we purchased before heading off to the Middle East this summer, was this Frommer's Israel travel guide. I had hunted for a while for a suitable guide for Israel, and many offered mixed reviews, however this 5th edition of Frommer's Israel is bang up to the minute, since it was published in 2009, and therefore you can rely on it to give you up to date information in terms of hotels, prices, restaurants and even security issues. I ordered the book over Amazon and it cost me just over £11.
