Premium Review Frommer's Travel Guides: Wot, not pictures? (500 words)
by - written on 03/06/04 (Very useful, 55 readings)
Rating:

Frommers publish a huge variety of travel guides, covering all corners of the world. Perhaps what is different to the many other guides out there, is that there are no photographs. At first I thought this was a bad thing, but having read through Frommer's Jamaica, the quality of the text makes up for it. Each guide will be slightly different in size, the Jamaica one is about 240 pages, and is a paperback less than the size of A5. Premium Review Frommers guide to Walt Disney World & Orlando (120 words)
by - written on 31/07/00 (Very useful, 111 readings)
Rating:

I bought this book before going to Orlando last year. Having thumbed through most of the travel guides in Waterstones I settled on the Frommers guide as it semed to be the most comprehensive one. The book is a 300 page mine of information on all of the attractions in the area. Theres information on shopping, accomodation anf local travel tips. Theres local and state maps and guides to the other main towns in Florida. The coupon section at the back of the book has loads of usefull savings, these alone more than cover the cost of the book. A very comprehensive travel guide giving lots of information to help your holiday go more smoothly. ...  Read the complete review

Suggested routes for driving and walking, colour coded sections It is a heavy book

Lovely walks, clearly and comprehensively detailed. Text is quite small.

Some amazing walks. Spectacular photography. Some quite average walks, too. Maps are poor quality.
