Rating:

Gangland, by James Morton aims to cover the history of the London Underworld between around 1920 - 1992. The book is only 432 pages long! While its clear that the author knows a lot about the subject, and has certainly done his research, this seems too short for a book of this scope. Another great Ballard short story, A novel plot which keeps you hooked to the end and the revelation of the culprits, A short and easy read I love his writing so much I often feel cheated with his long stories and wish for more!

hmmm still trying to think of one......oh yes, the previous novel was much, much better One top read if stuck in an airport with nowhere else to go only...no, honestly just walk away

Ballard excells once again, Doesn't sell out to a happy ending, a refreshing change, Makes you think a great deal It doesn't sugar coat anything, it is a gritty and disturbing readCharacters are not at all likeable

easy to read, won't be made into a film slang writing styleterrible anti-climax

Easy page turning read gaping plot holes and laughable dialogue.

Good mix of genres within one story. Nothing
