Gangland, by James Morton aims to cover the history of the London Underworld between around 1920 - 1992. The book is only 432 pages long! While its clear that the author knows a lot about the subject, and has certainly done his research, this seems too short for a book of this scope. This book covers all the major names in organised crime : The Sabinis, Billy Hill and Jack Spot, The Richardsons, The Krays and many more besides, any of whom could fill a book on their own (And have). Many of the events in this book have also been made into books in their own right - the Great Train Robbery, The Brinks Mat Heist, etc. In this book they only receive a few pages each. ...
