This is the fifth and last book in the Dollanganger series, but it could also be a prequel to the first book. I picked this book up again recently as I had nothing else to read, I've already it about 5 times, but I do love the whole series and once in a while re-read it. This book goes someway to explaining why the grandmother, (Olivia) of the other books is so cruel and does the things she does. We are given insight into Olivia's life before she goes to Foxworth Hall, and then what happens after she marries Malcom Foxworth. The book I will now review is "Garden of Shadows" by Virginia Andrews. The book starts with an addendum to the last will and testament of Olivia Winfield Foxworth, instructing for her own written account of her life to be opened twenty years after her death, daring anyone who reads it and hears of the cruelty she has suffered in the hands of her husband Malcolm, to judge her unfairly.........
