This particular book is fantastic, I found I needed to pay attention to some of the characters early on so I knew what was going on later in the book, but believe me thats not difficult with this author. Strange things happen in this book to Maxwell as the earth leaves behind science and reason and move to myth and legend (or so it says on the back of the book) Believe me, if you like sci-fi etc, read a Robert Rankin and you will be hooked. ...more |

This was my first delve in a Robert Rankin novel, having been recommended by a friend, and it was an absolute scream. I picked this title from the shop by just reading the first few lines, they made me laugh out loud and grabbed my attention in a way very few books do. This particular book is fantastic, I found I needed to pay attention to some of the characters early on so I knew what was going on later in the book, but believe me thats not difficult with this author.
