I was first introduced to Chris Manby via this book, Getting Personal. I had it given to me a few years ago, and since then have gone on to read more of her books. Getting Personal is set around three friends, Martin, Ruby and Lou. All three of them are single and wondering why they can't find their soul mates. After a mad conversation one night they all decide to place personal ads for each other. The plot follows the paths of these personal ads and the funny and disastrous stories that follow.
