Advantages: Excellent read Disadvantages: None
This is the second title in the series about life connected to the Church of England. Following the life of Jon Darrow, who first played a part in Glittering Images as Charles Darrow's mentor, the story is again a compelling read. Unravelling the mysteries of Jon's mind and subsequent actions, the reader is compelled to carry on reading to the very end. I found it very difficult to put this book down. The book follows life touched by the second world war and leads the way for more books to come with several diverse characters being introduced. Although all the series are fictional, a lot of input has been derived from various 20th century Church of England intellectuals which give the story line a good sense of authenticity. Summary: |
