This book is the first by writer Joshilyn Jackson, a former actress and teacher from the deep south. With one fellow writer calling it 'A knock-out first novel full of astonishing surprises.' And I would have to agree this book is definitely a must read. After reading about this book on a literary website in a list of 100 books to read, I felt I should check it out. Taken in first by the cover shot that shows a girl driving through country in a droptop car with her dark hair whipping behind her, then hooked by the main backpage headline.... I read the ...  Read the complete review

Fast Paced Plot, Realistic Characters A little too quick with the sex scenes

Entertaining, amusing and interesting. This can be a difficult book to get hold of in the UK .

A short, easy to read book . Worth a look if you enjoyed the Secret LIfe of Bees . Unbelievable, with a dislikable main character.

An excellent read, despite being slightly outdated, a lot of it rings true to current events. The pilot talk sometimes gets a bit too technical.

Gripping, poignant.powerful and emotional Takes a few chapters to really get going but grabs you by the balls once it does
