There is a lot to look at and talk about in every picture and added to this there are tons of flaps to lift on every page to reveal things that are happening in the story. Some of these are very clever - for example on one page, positioned on a flap, we see Goldilocks sitting very happily on Baby Bear's chair. Lift over the flap though and then you see Goldilocks having fallen on the floor with bits of broken chair all around...more

Well, I hear you say, everyone knows the story of Goldilocks so why write a review about it? Well, this version by Nick Sharratt and Stephen Tucker gives a slightly different slant on the story, and as you can see from the picture, Goldilocks does not look at all like your typical traditional fairy tale heroine!
