... get into the novel - it seemed to be slow going until after the tragedy. However the chance discovery and everything that happened after that had me hooked. It seemed to slow again towards the end as well. I loved Maddy and Izzie's characters and loved how they complemented one another. I liked how eager Izzie was to help Maddy after her tragedy (which came completely out of left-field even though tragedy is mentioned on the back of the book - I didn't expect it so quick) even though she'd only known Maddy a few da...more

This is my first review without the "synopsis" section because for my past few reviews my opening paragraph has been a brief synopsis. Let me know if you think my synopsis paragraph is enough!..... Another dive into the unknown (author) territory. In these credit crunching times we all have to cut back, I have ALWAYS bought loads of books, I still am doing but going for the cheap ones from supermarkets! This was a third of a 3 for £4 offer I found at Morrisons. The cover is a little lack lustre but the book I assure you is not. Izzie and Maddy are both newcomers to country life, having both moved from London with their families for completely different reasons. 'Town or country, we all have a right to Choos...' It's a Sunday afternoon. It's pouring with rain outside. The kids are at Grandma's for the night. I put the heating on, get my cup of tea and biscuits and settle down with a blanket on the sofa with this book....bliss.... Well we can all daydream can't we! 'Goodbye Jimmy Choo' was the first book which I read by Annie Sanders [Annie Sanders is actually two people, Annie Ashworth and Meg Sanders] and I am a big fan. 'Goodbye Jimmy Choo' is the story of an unlikely friendship which develops being two women, Maddy and Izzie. Maddy is a very glamorous mother of three with ...  Read the complete review
