Premium Review Goodnight, Poppy Cat!: Sleep Well, Poppy Cat! (503 words)
by - written on 16/08/08 (Very useful, 97 readings)
Rating:

I bought Goodnight Poppy Cat! for my granddaughters first birthday in June and suddenly it has became her favourite book. It is a board book but has lots of things for my granddaughter to touch and feel, helping her to learn about different contrasting textures and giving her something a little more interesting than just smooth board pages. It's bedtime for Poppy Cat and this is the theme for the book. She cuddles her teddy and looks at the stars, has a bubble bath and snuggles up with her soft quilt. All of these things are textured so my granddaughter will sit and stroke the little teddy bear and try to squish the bouncy bubbles in Poppy Cats ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Pop-up with Poppycat (1129 words)

Poppy Cat's Dream is the sort of book that makes you wish you were three years old again. Then again, it could be that I just haven't grown up yet! My son received this book as a Christmas present and it really has been a favourite of his (and mine). Premium Review We love Poppy Cat! (275 words)
by - written on 19/10/08 (Very useful, 32 readings)
Rating:

My eldest daughter was given this book as part of the Bookstart pack she received from the Health Visitor when she was around 6 months old. She has been a huge book fan since she was very young and this soon became one of her favourites! Unfortunately, as the edition we have was printed a promotional version for Bookstart, it doesn't have the extra feely bits and flaps that it normally would. The book is lovely though and has a beautiful text and is charmingly illustrated. The book is a board book so it has nice chunky pages for little fingers to easily grip. The book basically tells you about Poppy Cat getting ready for bed with each page having one ...  Read the complete review
