The Book Gordon Ramsay's Sunday Lunch was bought for me by a friend, I'm often bought cookery books because I love to cook and try out different recipes. This book is hardback and includes a DVD of Gordon cooking a special sunday lunch menu consisting of a starter, main course and dessert ( I had a quick look at this but personally think it's a bit gimmicky and not needed, I'd much rather follow a written recipe and cook myself then watch Gordon cooking on a DVD......sorry Gordon). Gordon Ramsay is pictured on the front of the book along with the title Gordon Ramsey's Sunday Lunch And Other Recipes From The F Word. On the back of the book are some ... Read the complete review

I was bought this book as a present last year. Suffice to say I would not have bought it myself, as I don't like him as an individual, and also because the recipes I have seen of his previously, have all been very complex and 'cheffy'. So I was not particularly thrilled to receive a large hard backed book, the front bearing an up close picture of GR, looking menacing with a pair of knife sharpeners. However despite the photo, Sunday Lunches is Gordon's attempt to show his cuddlier side. Far from being attempts at culinary perfection with hundreds of obscure ingredients, the book contains recipes which will be accessible to cooks of most ... Read the complete review

So will one of Gordon Ramsay's Sunday Lunch recipes be on your dinner plate? I love cook books, I love cooking, baking and eating!! I've watched a lot of Gordon Ramsay's TV cookery programmes and finally decided to get one of his cookbooks. My opinion: My first flick through 'sunday lunch' was exciting. The layout is fresh and unusual, the main meals are followed with recipes to serve with it which I love. However when I actually sat down to have a good look I found that there weren't as many meals as I originally thought that I would actually cook. How many of them would I really have for sunday lunch?? Now ... Read the complete review

I do not think that one person could say that they don't love a traditional sunday dinner, and I strive for that perfect mother's sunday dinner that I can call my own. I work Sundays, so when I do do a sunday dinner I like to make a real effort and do all the trimming, so when one of my favourite chef's Gordon Ramsay was bringing out a book about Sunday lunch, I couldnt help but get excited. If you've read my other review on healty eating by Ramsay then you'll see that I love the F word, it makes my night when repeats are shown and could watch it, really, all night. I really did expect a full book decicated to Sunday lunches, but it offers much more, and ... Read the complete review

When I bought this book I was excited that I may get the opportunity to cook some Michelin starred food as Chef Ramsay's name was getting bigger and bigger at the time of print. Initially I was a little disappointed as the recipes are all actually very easy and not Michelin quality finish but on moving through a few more dishes what you have here is an excellently presented book with some easy and quite impressive dishes to impress your dinner guests with. My particular favourite is a duck in a gooseberry sauce and the Baguette and Butter pudding is probably the easiest recipe you will ever get. I am not really in favour of Ramsay going as mainstream as he has done as ... Read the complete review
