This book by Jane Fallon follows James, a man who has been leading a double life for a year. He has his family Stephanie and son Finn who live in London and his girlfriend Katie who lives in the countryside. The girls are opposites, Stephanie is sarcastic and sharp and Katie is very meek and will do anything to please James.

James comes across as a really shallow, arrogant and self obsessed man for most of the book. However Stephanie and Katie find out about each other and decide on a series of events that will hopefully lead to his downfall, but it goes a bit too far. I wont spoil it anymore than that!

This book is well written, it had me hooked and I finished it in 2 days. I like the style of writing, its not too flowery and gets straight to the point. I havent read anything else by this author but I think I will now as I enjoyed this book. I felt sorry for both the women at the beginning but by the end my opinion was starting to change. Its interesting to hear all the parts about stephanies job as a stylist as this provides some light hearted bits to what is a very sad subject throughout the book - cheating.

I borrowed it from the library but I think its around £7.99 from places like Borders and Waterstones.

Summary: i would read something else by her
