Rating:
I did not like this book whatsoever. It came nowhere near his previous books. The usual standard was just not there. Perhaps he should re-read his own previous books and see where he went wrong. Sharpe is living on his reputation with this one. I suggest you avoid buying it and read Porterhouse Blue or the Throwback to see Sharpe at his very best. They truely are in a different league than this book. Sorry Tom, but you need to keep your writing sharp! ...
Products similar to Grantchester Grind - Tom Sharp...
The Skylark's Song - Audrey Howard
Good to see the first work of this author.
Sad in places, and may not suit all readers.
Planet Earth: A New Look at a Spectacular World
The Rosary Girls - Richard Montanari
Good writing, rounded characters
Central story very unoriginal, poor ending
Owl at the Vet - Helen Nicoll
Familiar characters and storyline
None
A Matter of Death and Life - Andrey Kurkov
Tragi-comic brilliance and Ukrainian socio-realism - how can you say no?
A little short
The Brimstone Wedding - Barbara Vine
Deliberate, subtle, intriguing story telling
Not for those in search of excitement
Village of Stone - Xiaolu Guo
Vividly written, powerful story
None
If I Was Boss - Kes Gray
Humour that appeals to children.
Too short
Free to Trade - Michael Ridpath
Easy to read, nicely set in the UK
A little predictable
The Rule of Four - Ian Caldwell & Dustin Thomason
The bits about the "Hypnerotomachia Poliphili" are pretty interesting
The rest is just a standard thriller novel
